Forest Management Plan FMP
Technical document approved by MiAmbiente defining how a forestry unit will be managed and harvested across its cycle. Known locally as PMF (Plan de Manejo Forestal).
Fiduciary trust FID
Panamanian legal vehicle where a fiduciary manages assets for the investor's benefit. Used for QIV and forestry subdivisions in process.
Forestry Registry RF
Official registration of a plantation or harvest operation with MiAmbiente (Law 1/1994). Prerequisite for incentives and Forestry Visa.
Friendly Nations Visa FNV
Panamanian residency programme for "friendly" country nationals, reformed in 2021 — distinct from the Forestry Visa.
Qualified Investor Visa QIV
Executive Decree 722. Threshold USD 300K until Oct 15, 2026; rises to USD 500K thereafter.
