Frequently asked questions.

The most common questions about Panforestal, the operator comparison, legal analyses, and independent verification of Panama's forestry registry.

What is Panforestal?

Independent editorial service that indexes Panama's historical Forestry Registry (1979-2026), maintains a public comparison of investor-facing forestry operators, and publishes the current legal framework with verified repeals.

Does Panforestal sell forestry lots?

No. We don't sell lots, don't receive commission from any compared operator, don't act as agent or intermediary. Our revenue comes from paid legal analyses (USD 29 single, USD 99 bundle) and historical registry subscriptions.

How are companies included in the comparison?

An operator appears if it meets the four investor-facing criteria (titled lots + ANARAP member + Forestry Visa eligibility + Panamanian capital). All data has a verifiable public source. We invite companies to complement missing data with verifiable documentation at editorial@panforestal.com.

What does the USD 99 Legal Framework bundle include?

PDF with the 10 curated laws and decrees of the Panamanian forestry and investor framework: Law 24/1992, Law 1/1994, Law 69/2017, decrees 89/1993, 170/1993, 129/2018, 199/2021, 722-QIV and environmental framework. Automatic email delivery after Stripe payment.

How do I verify a Forestry Registration independently?

Ask the operator for the RF number + name of registered holder, request a copy of the document or recent DIFOR (MiAmbiente) certification. You can cross-check with the historical registry we index. See RF glossary for details.

What are the critical 2026 legal deadlines?

On October 15, 2026 Executive Decree 722 raises the QIV (Qualified Investor Visa) minimum from USD 300,000 to USD 500,000. Closings signed before that date keep the original threshold. See Decree 722 analysis.

Does Panforestal provide legal opinions?

No. We publish factual and curated information — it does not constitute individual legal opinion. For capital or residency decisions, consult a qualified Panamanian tax or immigration attorney.
