Who we are.

Panforestal is an independent editorial service indexing Panama's historical Forestry Registry (1979-2026) and maintaining a public view of the country's investor-facing forestry market. No commission, no agency.

Mission

Produce factual, curated, and verifiable information on Panama's investor-facing forestry sector — a microscopic market (2-3 Tier 1 operators) where information asymmetry between operator and foreign investor has historically been significant. Our work covers three areas: (1) historical forestry registry indexing, (2) editorial comparison of operators with public sources, (3) analysis of the current legal framework with verified repeals.

Editorial neutrality principles

• No operator commissions. We receive no payment, consideration, or advertising from any listed forestry operator.
• No agency. We do not act as agent, intermediary, or representative of any party.
• Right of reply. Any operator may complement data with verifiable sources; we update while maintaining traceability.
• No individual legal opinion. We publish general analysis — for specific decisions, we recommend a qualified Panamanian attorney.
• Disclosure of relationships. When an operator has documented relation with one of our affiliates (e.g., Foresteak / Kraemer & Kraemer), we declare it explicitly on the profile.

Revenue model

Our revenue comes exclusively from:

• Paid legal analyses — USD 29 individual analysis (one law or decree), USD 99 complete forestry & investor framework bundle (10 curated documents).
• Historical Forestry Registry subscriptions — full access to search, moratorium alerts, and export.
• Editorial consulting services to press, authorities, or academic researchers needing curated sector data.

Coverage

Bilingual site (Spanish + English) with dedicated pages for each operator, law, and relevant technical term. Full sitemap at /sitemap.xml. We update legal content when there are verifiable changes (Official Gazette, National Assembly, MiAmbiente). Minimum frequency: quarterly review by topic block.
